Do you have a primary care provider? If you don't, you should. A primary care provider (PCP) is the doctor, nurse practitioner, or physicians assistant that oversees all of your care. This is the person that you go to when you feel sick, when you have general questions or concerns, and for your annual wellness exams.
I often imagine how I am going to answer difficult questions and explain confusing and complex issues to my daughter as she gets older. Where do babies come from? What is the difference between boys and girls? Why do I have to go to school? Why do I have to get shots?
You just want to feel better! There is nothing more disappointing than going to the doctor and being told "its just a virus, you don't need antibiotics". WHAT DO YOU MEAN I DON'T NEED ANTIBIOTICS!?! I'M SICK! There really is a reason behind healthcare providers reserving antibiotics. Legitimate, real life, VERY important reasons.
